PROJECT PLAN
Any project can be divided in the following phases:
Phase 0: |
A feasibility study is conducted showing market potential, time to market, development costs, rough estimates of costprice, overall design and key features. |
Phase 1: |
A document is made showing the exact specification of the product/project based on end-user requirements, a precise UML-based software design and where appropriate a hardware design. Both soft- and hardware design specifications have an accurate time schedule. When required also a preliminary manual and an emulation environment with or without software prototype is supplied to allow the project engineer to design the look of the product and to
gather knowledge about the user interface. |
Phase 2: |
Developing a first prototype required for testing purposes. Also,
developing a second prototype to be tested at beta test sites. When hardware is involved this
prototype can be used for CE, EMC and safety tests. Finally a prototype is made to be used for approval
and certification means. |
Phase 3: |
Building pre production models for product and end-user verification. When
hardware is involved CE, EMC and safety approval is obtained. |
Phase 4: |
End-user acceptance of the product/project and market release. |
